Secretly hidden in the ancient Afromontane forests of Cape Town is the charming, permanent tented camp of Orange Kloof, in the beautiful Disa River Valley of Constantia Nek. This intimate rustic camp is laid out in a circle with the teants pitched on elevated timber decks that are connected by an elevated timber walk-way.

The camp site is enveloped by spectacular towering mountain peaks in a rare preserved habitat teeming with exotic plant and animal species. What makes this untouched forest paradise so unique, is its ideal location for combining a nature experience with proximity to the cityonly 45 minutes away, and Hout Bay village and beaches only 12 minutes away.

Orange Kloof Camp is a perfect base from which to explore the lower slopes of Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch. The unique bio-diversity of Orange Kloof play an integral role in the delicate fynbos. Access to the area and Orange Kloof Tented Camp is therefore restricted and exclusively accessible by its guests only.

Just relax on your own private deck, beer in-hand enjoying spectacular mountain and forest views with sightings of animals and a variety of birds. It doesn’t get better than this. The permanent tents are canvas lined with weather-proof wooden thatched roofs, built on elevated platforms.
All tents are equipped with luxurious soft mattresses and electric lamps. Orange Kloof caters to discerning travelers and nature enthusiasts of all ages in one 4-sleeper family tent and four 2-sleeper tents connected by wooden walkways to the boma (barbecue area) and viewing tower. The top of the viewing tower is a perfect spot for a bush breakfast or sundowner.
This beautiful “safari style” setting is ideal for a group of 12 persons looking for Cape Town football accommodation. The camp is secluded and yet in striking distance to Cape Town and surrounding areas such as the Constantia winelands and Hout Bay.

Nothing can be better than sharing meals by a roaring campfire. Have a traditional South African braai (barbecue) under the stars. All firewood, charcoal and firelighters are provided. There is a fully equipped kitchen with crockery, fridge and gas cookers. There is no cellphone reception at Orange Kloof Tented Camp, ensuring a feeling of total peace and tranquility, but a short walk up to the main road gives you reception.

All in your Own Private Camp

This serviced, permanent tented camp is usually reserved for the Table Mountain Hiking Trail. It is complete with a main lodge kitchen and lounge, that includes refrigerator and all kitchen utilities. Hot water showers and ablutions also mean you are not actually 'roughing it'.
